Re.Flex is back with great news again.
We have completed another piece of this important puzzle we are working on solving. It felt like a true need to have this task checked as soon as possible.
Because over the last few months we have met lots of people interested in knowing more about how our product will work and how it can help their clinics. We were focused on improving the motion detection algorithm, the auto-calibration of the sensors, detecting the hardest exercises and it needed all of our attention, not just our tech superstar’s work. That’s why we neglected the product presentation. As a consequence, we found it hard to take advantage of all opportunities we had lately, due to participating to start-up competitions.
A quick review of the events we have attended in the last few months of 2016
-Startarium (Runner up)
-Get in The Ring Romania
– (Winner. Qualified for the final stage that will take place in Singapore)
-How To Web Conference
-Chivas – The Venture 2016 Romania (Qualified for the final stage)
“Why was it hard to take advantage of all the leads and open doors we had?“
Sometimes it’s a challenge to make physiotherapists, doctors, physiotherapy clinics, investors and friends imagine how Re.Flex works and how it can change the physiotherapy industry. The sensors, web platform and mobile app used in clinics and at home, along with the interaction of the patient with the physiotherapist, are all very important things to mention in order to make people aware of the complexity of this project.
To make things easier, we decided to invest time to get time. And that’s the reason why the presentation video was a must.
What we needed in order to have a video presentation
– The best movie director – Actors
-Expensive equipment (camera, different lenses, stabilizers, lights panels etc)
-A van to fit all of these in
-A modern physiotherapy clinic (Thanks Gelu Cosma @ Kinetic Sport Medicine for your support)
-A home with a nice lighting design for illustrating the home recovery scenes (Thanks Geami & Chichi)
-Pizza and orange juice for everybody (Our CTO got to it first and we caught him)
-Video editing (Thanks Victor)
-Color correction editing (Thanks Durac)
-Voice over (Thanks Vlad Tomei)
-Audio editing (Thanks Coty)
-Generated 3D screens (We didn’t have the live visualisation ready at the time of the shooting) Thanks Radu
We stumbled upon a successful and super funny director who fell in love with Re.Flex at first sight.
Radu Barbulescu is a movie and commercial director and he was first AD for two of the best Romanian movies:
Legaturi Bolnavicioase – 2006 Won the Public Prize for Most Successful Local Film at the Box-Office Won a Gopo Award for Best Actress In A Supporting Role)
4 luni, 3 saptamani si 2 zile – 2007 Nominated for a Golden Globe – Best Foreign Language Film Won 37 awards
On top of this, he won at the Transilvania International Film Festival for best script with his short movie: Dispozitiv 0068 and directed dozens of TV commercials for brands like Lidl, Oskar Superweiss and Scandia Sibiu.
So Radu offered to help us with the video and came up with a nice script that raised some eyebrows in our office. After a little fine tuning and couple of emails, we managed to finish it and make it a killer script.
So Radu did the callout and showed up with a full team behind him: Durac (Camera operator) & Biggie (a one man army: sound and lights)
We had the help of a professional ballerina, Ioana Macarie, and took a couple of shots during her practice.
Later, we booked the other members of our team and some close friends and shot the video in 2 days, within 4 filming locations. Everything went perfect and our actors and friends were at Hollywood levels.
Let’s name them now:
Andreea (Patient #1 and CEO’s wife)
Oana (Patient #2 – Our Embedded Software Developer superstar)
Cosmin (Patient #3 – Oana’s boyfriend and future jiu jitsu blackbelt)
Daniel (Future Bollywood professional actor, meanwhile marketing rep. at Re.Flex)
Now, we can proudly present our work. Re.Flex – Recovery made simple. Enjoy!
What’s next? First thing we need to do now is to grow our team with a physiotherapist and two computer programmers. Think you know someone interested? Let us know and we will contact him. Until then, keep close for more updates: subscribe to our newsletter!
